商务英语翻译考试的过程基本包括理解、表达和校对三个阶段，这三个阶段相辅相成，缺一不可。

商务英语翻译是双方在商务沟通中所使用的语言，其特点之一就是礼貌性，这一点与汉语是一致的。汉语习惯于采用庄重客套的词语来体现礼貌的程度，上例中的“恕”、“抱歉”、“蒙”等就是常用的表达。
(1) If a particular cargo is partially damaged, the damage is called particular average.
如果某批货物是部分受损，我们称之为“单独海损”。
(2) General average is a loss that affects all cargo interests on the ship and the ship itself.
共同海损是一种影响船上所有货物利益方和船本身的损失。
